Pyramid gone

The red and white building in this picture is now a gym (unless that's closed too, now), but used to be Sale Odeon when I were a lad. However, it was originally a cinema called The Pyramid, and the detailing they've tried to obliterate with the paint still has an Egyptian flavour. There was a lot of it inside, too. Egyptian detailing, that is. I have no idea if any of it's still there.

There was also a telephone exchange near it when I was young (may be still there, I'm not sure), which was called Pyramid (PYR) before Manchester got all-figure numbers - Sale numbers became 973 xxxx and Pyramid 962 xxxx, with 061 tacked onto the front if you were outside the city (now 0161, of course).
