In Appreciation

This is an earth mandala created and on display at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. A mandala is a symbolic gesture used in meditation. Usually circular in shape it can be made with a variety of natural materials. Therese Muskus made this particular mandala ‘in appreciation of all the abundance we share’ and using natural materials foraged from the garden. I thought it such a simple yet beautiful way to celebrate autumn’s bounty and particularly cheerful on a wet grey day like today!
