Day 1 - to Islay via Oban

We had a slight detour on the way up as there was an accident which closed the A83 from Tarbert to Kennacraig, meaning our 6pm ferry to Islay was cancelled. The ferries were diverted to Oban instead and we managed to get on a ferry which actually left earlier than our scheduled 6pm departure.

We arrived in Islay at 7.45, half an hour before we would have done on our scheduled ferry!
