"A Typical Scene Along the River"...

...Right here, not far from where we live...so quiet it is, just one person fishing and relaxing in a red chair with a big straw hat on - I think it was a lady - with a gentleman walking around nearby - perhaps it was his fishing line and she was in charge for the moment - but they were the only people we saw on our little drive down along the river bank this morning, to capture this scene for you...

...You can see the track we drove along afterward, and this is typical of the bushland river tracks here, lots of little birds telling us off as it's their own territory out there, but hey, we don't mean any harm..perhaps they were telling the fisherpeople off there maybe..its their pad after all..

...And no riverboat today - they're upstream a little and don't venture down here unless on a special occasion..

...And no riverbirds either to show you - I think they have gone about their business somewhere as it is the time of the year..

...And across the river, you may not be able to see clearly, but that is New South Wales, another State, and at some time - there has been a big bushfire travel through right there..through those trees...

...At the moment - there are serious bushfires in Eastern New South Wales, around Sydney and the Blue Mountain areas, (many hours from here) which are causing much havoc and grief to many families right at this very moment as I write this..we hope it is not long and the fires will be controlled...the countryside has been so dry throughout those areas, and in very built-up areas, not really far from Sydney...and further north..

...We are thinking of them all...and hoping they and the wonderful fire fighters, many of whom are volunteers - shall all keep safe and well...
