An alternative route

... home tonight and at a very reasonable time too. I had managed to clear my desk and my inbox by a quarter to four having not taught this afternoon, so I decided to head home on a bit of a roundabout route. These wicker orbs were covering the lawn in front of the gatehouse to Doddington Hall with the village church in the background. They are really effective and will probably be even more so when the trees behind them part with all of their leaves. Definitely an Autumn day today so a timely end to Term One.
