Iconic Tin Shack, Rye Harbour

We went to Rye Harbour Nature Reserve today (East Sussex).
I've never been before and thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

We started off with a snack lunch and coffee in the Avocet Gallery Tearooms at Rye Harbour then moved on to the Nature Reserve. After a short call in to the information office, we went round part of the reserve, visiting three bird hides on the way. Managed to see one bird we don't get at home - the small egret.

We finished off with another coffee in the tearooms before returning to Brighton - 48 miles in 1 hour 40 minutes!

This tin shed, painted black, red and white is very prominent at the entrance to the reserve and features on some of the reserve literature.
