Spot of light

It can be particularly delightful walking the garden looking for blip possibilities at this time of year. Partly because it is the end of second season and there is a sense of having made a difference while seeing lots, lots more to do. Partly because of the brilliant colours which are emerging.

But largely I think it is because of the wee jewels which are appearing. Flowers which we have simply passed by are now coming into their own. This dahlia is still going strong and it formed a welcome pool of light in the gathering gloom of a wet Autumn afternoon.
