There are just a handful of days each year when the times of the cruise ships leaving Southampton coincide with the setting sun as they turn past Cowes on their voyage out of the Solent.

Today had been in the main dull and uninspiring but the sun broke through for just long enough to bathe the Arcadia in a Celestial spotlight.
