Baddesley Clinton

The afternoon started off so promising with warm sunshine so we decided to cycle to Baddesley Clinton for tea with some friends.

All was well on the way out but when we set off home again a very black cloud loomed overhead and the heavens opened on us.

I have done a lot of cycling but have never cycled in rain as heavy as this. The drops were so large that they stung. We could not see where we were going and it went really dark. There were dramatic thunderclaps and eventually the sun reappeared accompanied by some lovely rainbows.

By this time we were soaked through and very glad to get back home to a hot bath.

Luckily my NEX-6 stayed dry in my saddle pack and this is the picture of the lovely National Trust house.
