Rose on a wire

A rose on the wire,
As though grown from twisted steel,
Spun with cobweb silk.

Grey morning walk ... then spotted this. Possibly a remnant from a weekend wedding, rather than let the fallen rose rot on the ground, someone had picked it up and placed it in the wire fence. Then a spider has used it as an anchor for its web ...no deliberate art could produce this ... it sent a shiver down my spine. It's freshness is waning ... it may look sacrificial tomorrow, but today it looked beautiful.
