Elegant corner of Georgian Lancaster

A soggy day in Lancaster and I was on my way to an amazing day of poetry during Litfest's 35th literary festival. It has been fabulous with work read to us by seven talented poets, the last at Lancaster Library - Simon Armitage - was just inspirational, thought provoking, moving and very very funny.

Thank you Litfest and Andy Darby - outgoing Creative Director - for an amazing opportunity to share the work of such talented folk.

I've not been very focussed on blipping just recently - work, worry about my mum and indolence all play their part in this. Today's view shows the beautiful coloured stone of Georgian Lancaster. This was the town's second Dispensary from 1785 - 1833 - part of the scant help for ordinary folk needing help and support in days of yore.
