Houblon finishing the Cabbage Patch 10

It rained really hard first thing, but the race took place mostly in perfect autumn sunshine. The Cabbage Patch 10 is a long-established 10 mile race on a fast flat course. Apart from Houblon, our next door neighbour Graham ran, as did Brian, the other Brian, my colleague Ruby and her husband Matt. So I was the only non runner in the group of friends who were running. The winner finished in around 50 mins and the first lady was at about 55 mins. It's bucketing down with rain again now - it really is amazing that the conditions were so nice during and after the race.
