Woolly Bear Caterpillar

This woolly bear caterpillar was along the path at the Oak Ridges Corridor Park Trail which is next to Bond Lake. Linda and I went for a walk at this place which was new to us. After seeing too many squished ones along the path, we saved this one and put in on the stones that were set aside as seats.

Woolly Bears are fascinating caterpillars. They are self-medicating and become Isabella Tiger Moths after they over-winter and freeze solid!
