Mycophile's delight

Oregon Mycological Society holds a show each fall showcasing hundreds of wild mushrooms. This was our first year attending. Besides the myriads of mushrooms set out on exhibit, they had people helping to identify mushrooms, cooking demonstrations and tastings. Some ladies had used mushrooms to dye yarn. We attended an informative slide show about what to find here locally. Mushroom hunting is something I learned in my home country as a little girl, it still is one of my favorite things to do... a treasure hunt in a forest!
