Orange Sunset

Little bit of a series at the moment on skylines, just brilliant colours. Please not I've not changed the colour at all, just enhanced the saturation a little, this was how orange the sky was.

My thought are still around impressionist, how brave were they to make a move from traditional painting, was it a mistake or inspiration? Did they do this on the side and paint portraits during the day?
