Into the woods

Last year I discovered a clump of mushrooms in our nearby wood purely by chance as I saw the red through the trees. So today I decided to try and see if they were still there this year. Going into an evergreen forest without paths is not exactly easy. The branches are close and the scratching fearsome. And after all that I discovered the mushrooms are already over. But I did catch a glimpse of light and this has become the picture for today.
