Excitement in town!

The area of Sherborne by the Abbey is today changed into Casterbridge market. And Casterbridge means Thomas Hardy.
They are filming a new version of Far From the Madding Crowd, with Cary Mulligan as the star. Some of the town shops have been transformed, but we couldn't get close to the action because there were several burley security men standing around somewhat protectively!
Of course Thomas Hardy depicted Casterbridge as Dorchester, but perhaps the filming will move there later on.
A bit of interest in the town on a wet Monday!
