Premature decorations

They do this every year and you'd think that I'd be used to it, but I'm not.

Can anyone please explain to me why the Dome on Edinburgh's George Street puts up its decorations in early October each year? Here they are, blipped from the bus on my way home from work today.

Exercise today: back to the full morning loop route in an appalling time of 30'34" - but at least I am doing it again!
