The Edge of the Wold

Cloud and wind

At lunchtime the wind was whipping across the top of the Helm, clouds scudding across the sky, and showers tracking across the landscape below. Gus was rounding up Rowan who was chasing after a stone out of shot. Lots of weather, though it is still very mild.

The BBC weatherman said tomorrow will be a fine day, then the weather will close in for the weekend, and as for Monday if you are planning to go anywhere, think again - without explaining what was meant by that. Could be a bad blip day!

Reggie the tortoise is pacing about in the garden room trying to find a way out so he can dig himself into the soil for the winter. We have to decide soon when the time is right to put him into his hibernaculum: the fridge. His length to weight ratio is spot on, he is just a bit too active at the moment to be sure he will settle straight away.
