Grandad & Grandson, 2000yr old olive trees, Salent

So I snuck out to Southern Italy (Puglia) for the week and it's been fab. Sunny, warm, beautiful on the Adriatic, and where my Daddy comes from. Mornings snorkelling, afternoons visiting Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a bit of sight seeing here and there. Loved this shot this afternoon; my Dad with a very rare shot of son No 2, Marcus. We'd been having a nosey-poke around our family's olive groves, and these 2000+ year old olive trees are still growing in the next field. Incredible! We picked wild asparagus and oregano under the trees, and Dad pointed out the vines here and there that still persisted in growing, despite most being ripped out when he was a nipper, some 75 years ago. Bought a net so that Marcus can gather some sea urchins (ricci) and sea cucumber tomorrow. Should I make sushi d'you think...?
