YOUTH SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE

Every year around 500 secondary schools in Norway collects money for a solidarity project. The idea is that they should work one full day and give the salary to the project they support, but many have problems finding work, so they bake instead.

Helin (to the right) and her friends comes from Ulsrud secondary school in Oslo and support three palestinian schools in Abu Dies on occupied West Bank. The girls like the gender profile in these schools. In Palestine most of the schools are just for one gender, and the girls told me that the boy schools get more resources than the girl schools. But the 3 schools they support are for both genders.

Great girls and great solidarity project!
