Trafalgar Blues

I found myself crossing Trafalgar Square in the fading autumn light one evening last week after watching an incredibly beautiful black and white film during the London Film Festival. The vibrant blue light of an almost full moon illuminating the 4th plinth's new sculpture, the blue Cockerel was just amazing. Accompanied not by reverent silence of a traditional landscape but by the hubbub of tourists taking photos, gaggles of school kids, performance artists and the sound of the fountains.
