A gory story

I was back in Hatton Garden today and between meetings I came upon this location. Legend has it that this cobbled courtyard's name commemorates the murder of Lady Elizabeth Hatton, whose family formerly owned the area around Hatton Garden. Apparently, her body was found here on 27 January 1626, "torn limb from limb, but with her heart still pumping blood."

One to get you in the mood for Halloween (mwah hah hah hah)!
