Dilation

One of the joys of diabetes is annual retinopathy screening, which involves having some hideous drops put in your eyes which dilate your pupils so they can photograph your retinas and check for damage. Trouble is the drops sting at first, and for hours afterwards bright lights are dazzling and focusing can be difficult. So no driving, watching TV can be difficult, anything with an illuminated screen likewise.
