RHEILFFORDD ERYRI
FFESTINIOG AND WELSH HIGHLAND RAILWAY - 'Coast to coast' - through the dramatic scenery of Snowdonia

This is Joe, one of the volunteers, and what it says above is what you get. Whenever we come to this part of Wales we always take a trip on this lovely Railway and today was no disappointment. After a leisurely breakfast sitting out in the sun at Davy Jones' Locker, we drove to Porthmadog and went on the steam train up to Blaenau Ffestioniog and just sat and enjoyed the spectacular changing scenery. We had a long delay on our return journey as there had been a landslip down the line which had to be cleared before the train could continue. Then the weather changed dramatically in an instant and once we got going again it was all in torrential rain and very windy so we've arrived back at our destination much later than expected and in the dark.

Glad I booked dinner at The Last Inn for 8pm!!

Thanks Shaamie, bb and ccc for kind comments on the Rainbow but I think I prefer Joe as the Rainbow was such poor quality from the window of a very jiggly train!!
