Union Canal

Bijou and I enjoyed a walk along the Union Canal between Ratho and Newbridge. It is a beautiful walk underneath the trees and much used by walkers and cyclists. The Union Canal starts in the centre of Edinburgh and following the contours of the land, without any locks, goes westward to meet the Forth & Clyde at the famous Falkirk Wheel. Boats can then travel onwards to Glasgow and the Clyde estuary.
