Tree

At 5.30 this morning this happened. Not that I noticed until my wife swore loudly when she got up and say half the tree lying on the ground and a police car blocking the road.

They were closely followed by the council, and by the time I left for work the debris had been reduced mainly to chippings.

Sadly, the tree has now been condemned . . . we were very luckky it didn't hit the flat, and even lucky it missed my car (by about a metre - though the telephone cable it took down got much closer!)
