Gloucester

A trip to Gloucester today and we started by visiting a very windy Robinswood Hill Country Park. Its a stiff climb from the carpark at 50m above sea level to the top at approx. 200m above sea level in about 0.8 of a mile. Doesn't sound a lot, but believe me it felt it. We could see the hills of Wales in one direction, the Severn Bridges in another and a long way in all directions from the top. Unfortunately the sky was very overcast and so pictures did not really do just tice to the view. Will have to return on a brighter day.

Then it was into Gloucester city itself for a walk round the historic dockyard and to the cathedral. I spotted this rather magnificent shop front as we walked up through the town. Not sure if it does anything dramatic on the hour or half so will have o investigate I guess.

Lots to see and do, so I feel another visit here in the not to distant future.

By the way the 'Baker' is the name of the company - not their trade! Not sure what they would say if you went in and asked for a loaf of bread!
