A golden tree of Canongate Kirkyard

There's something strangely festive about old cemeteries in Autumn. No wonder the All Hallow's Eve is at the end of October, just before all the colourful leaves rot and disappear.

On the left you can see an intriguing grave stone of Robert Fergusson funded by fellow poet Robert Burns, what's slightly creepy is that as you're walking into the kirkyard you pass a statue of smiling Fergusson walking away from it...
