Waterloo Central Railway

Linda and I drove to St. Jacob's and The Waterloo Market today. It's a 90-minute drive and there was wet snow for much of it, too - first of the season. We had to stop for the Waterloo Central Railway - a tourist train of old Canadian locomotives and passenger cars - as it passed across the highway. I was driving so Linda took a series of shots which you can see here. The two cars shown above are from competing railways - the two biggies - Canadian Pacific and Canadian National - both of which are still in operation.

This little railway used to operate elsewhere in Ontario as the St. Thomas Central Railway.

We'll have to take a ride on this next year!
