The Road is Long

Compassion fatigue is very real. In times when we are able to instantly see all the hurts and fears, illnesses, cries for help from those we love, not to mention those that run like a parade past our eyes all day when we are in helping fields, it is so easy to become paralyzed...feeling helpless to know what to do next. Even our prayers feel so rapid fire, we wonder if God is tired of hearing them yet.

The Hollies said it best. The road is long, but the load is light when people we love are in need. We don't have to stop and figure it out. We just pick them up and carry them when we can, and as long as we can.
