Rainy Day in Newcastle

Rainy Day in Newcastle

Or - Whoops - Should I say Gateshead, as it is taken from the Baltic Flour Mills. This is looking down the Tyne to the Bridges. It was a mixed day for weather, nice and sunny one minute and then dark clouds and blustery rain. We hope the 'Great Storm' is going to miss us up here.

A Blustery dark day for NUFC as well; losing to Sunderland who only have one point all season is not very funny. We hope there is no trouble, and no repeat of scenes like the silly supporter trying to box a Police horse !

Sitting at home now, waiting for the rain to arrive. We fixed a tile on the roof this morning in anticipation. We will light the stove and batten down the hatches I think. Not looking forward to next week, as lots of work and a strike. Oh Dear, I hope we get some support for this, but these days I am afraid that apathy is the prevailing theme in our society. Who really cares about education these days, in a real sense, and in terms of making major investments in it. So, I am sat here listening to Pink Floyd 'The Wall', and "We don't need no education". !!
