From the beginning

The Far North

Today has been pretty amazing, we drove 71 kilometres of 90 mile beach, it feels pretty weird travelling at 100 kmph on the sand and getting overtaken by buses. we Dug some Pipis and ate them raw, D said they tasted like melon but worms springs to mind.
We climbed the giant Te Paki sand dunes and came down them on boogie boards, They we're stunning to see but I was knackered climbing up them. We had lunch by a little Lake then headed up to Cape Reinga, I think this is probably the most crowded place in NZ but well worth the visit with loads of scenic views and special things to see.
Next stop Rarawi beach, probably the nicest beach I have ever seen anywhere in the world. The sand is white and I collected Pumice.

We have now arrived at the very nice Peppers Resort, to relax and have a few wines :-)

This shot is from Cape Reinga looking towards 90 mile beach.
