Tidy

14.0C with bright spells and some dark clouds. Breezy.

This morning I harvested the peppers from the three plants I have had in the greenhouse. All washed, chopped, and frozen for use in soups. I still have some tomatoes for picking.

After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk. We took our usual route up by the church then down the bridle path to the shore. The tide was out and there was plenty of firm damp sand to walk along. As we walked towards the Fishermen's huts we were heading into the breeze. We could see 'Valhalla VI' sitting on the sand in the channel through the rocks. Lots of creels on deck.

Up at the huts we had a look round. The smaller boats are being covered with tarpaulins for winter. The red tractor is back by its hut. Looks as if it is working again after the day it spent swamped by the high tide at the back of the beach. I also noticed the pile of wood at the back of the beach growing. Preparations for a bonfire.
