Eriskay Ponies

Last year I only saw the Eriskay Ponies on the southern end of Holy Isle. This time they appeared at 'our' end, after the weather started to fail mid-week. I expected them to be far wilder than they were - the one closest to me was extraordinarily nice, and gifted me one of my most favourite recent Instagram shots. The island has a great deal of indigenous wildlife, from the huge number of birds, through otters, seals, goats and sheep.
