Sunrise the Day After

This was sunrise over East London the day after the UK Storm which four people are known to have have died and which brought major rail and road disruption to commuters in southern Britain on Monday 28 October 2013.

The square building to the right of the trees under the sun is part of Bow Quarter a gated community in Bow in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The building was originally the Bryant and May match factory, and was the site of the Match Girls' strike in the 1880s. The factory was redeveloped in the 1980s, in one of east London's first urban renewal projects.
