Light & sight

Despite my perhaps slightly geeky enthusiasm for e-readers, I still have a huge fondness for the traditional printed book. Whatever some people might suggest, those two things are not mutually contradictory. Today at lunchtime I wandered into the local branch of [a high street book chain whose name begins with a 'W'] for 10 minutes of tranquillity. I didn't actually buy anything - it was just being surrounded by the books that mattered. My dad, who I mentioned on here recently, filled his home in San Francisco with boxes of books, pretty much from top to bottom. These things end up bouncing down the family line, don't they?
