October Challenge - Metal

Day 28 of DDW's October daily challenge - Metal

A breezy day today, the winds weren't as strong as in 1987 (I was in London then and experienced them), but enough to stop all work on the building at the end of Chiswick Park. Unlike the cranes in Whitehall, these survived and the evening light at the end of the day was good.

The day started with all operational staff getting in and in the office area it was Contractors - 2, Staff - Nil for a long time. Just shows that not being paid if you don't turn up is an incentive to getting in to work.

Unfortunately, the restrictions on access meant that I couldn't quite visually separate the crane from the building so they do appear to be touching, even though they weren't. But the crane and a lot of the building are metal and still there after the big wind.
