In My Life

The Northern Quarter

Manchester's Northern Quarter is largely made up of narrow streets and red-brick alleyways surrounded by the distinctive architecture that dates back to the Cottonopolis days. Numerous examples of urban street art can be found here. Many of the buildings have been restored and are trendy bars, independent record and clothes shops or eateries, whilst others still wait in dilapidated states to have their fate decided. I'm a big fan of this area and find it creatively inspirational.
