Eastwood High School

This morning I attended the official opening of the new Eastwood High school. The new school is fabulous, with fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities. Dr Alasdair Allan MSP, one of the education ministers spoke at the opening along with the headmaster who by coincidence is called Stuart Maxwell.

The project was a pilot project and was jointly procured with Lasswade High school in Midlothian. Most of the money for both schools came from the Scottish Government via the Scottish Futures Trust.

I am sure the teachers and the pupils will enjoy what is a first class facility for many years to come.
