The flower seller

Island hopping today. First we visited Torcello to see the magnificent Byzantine mosaics in the 11th century church which were amazing, particularly the one on the west wall. Then onto Burano with it's brightly coloured houses, leaning Campanile and tourist shops! It's been a beautiful blue sky day which showed the colours off brilliantly. The flower seller was on the corner of one of the little squares alongside a canal. I needed to crop one of the more extreme shadows on the right side of the picture - it was a little too contrasts at the time we were there. We were back in Murano with time for a short rest before we were out again to photograph the sunset and all the amazing Halloween celebrations that were taking place.
