Curlews

Whilst walking the dogs in the dunes this morning I noted a curlew flying down on to the ground in the middle of the saltmarshes. It was a fair way away from me but with my Canon 7D and a 200mm lens well within range. For several minutes I was able to observe this pair feeding and moving around each other with the occasional flurry of wings as one of them took off. As this is only my second sighting of curlews within range I was understandably excited. So it is with great pleasure that I am able to offer you a second dose of curlew images. My only regret was that I was not the other side of the saltmarsh with the sun behind me rather than in front of me.
