Pie

The day's excitement - a chance to sample Mr Singh's Scotch Pie from the Circus Cafe in Castle Street - my local (to work) coffee and sandwich shop. It's like the Scotch pie you know and recoil from but instead of the thin layer of greasy mechanically recovered sludge that you usually find in a Scotch pie, it has tasty spiced lamb and plenty of it. Slightly odd to eat a pie with recognisable meat and flavour. Well worth the price tag even it was almost as heavy as the pie.
