Lord Moncktons

Introducing the Long-Billed Corella, the latest bird species to take up residence in the backyard.

According to the Wikipedia entry, they are Western Australian birds that have gone feral here in South East Queensland. They are moving around in a flock of 20 or so, and a few have cottoned on to the fact there is good tucker on offer. The resident galahs are none too pleased as it means they are forced further down the pecking order.

Blipping early today. Off up the coast to play soccer at Buderim.
