Newcastle

We packed up and left the cottage, heading for Newcastle before going home.

The cottage we stayed in was beautiful - so comfortable and spacious... and warm. Perfect for our break.

The trip to Newcastle meant that my son could tour the University. He liked it very much.

The girls, my Dad and I spent our time at the shopping centre, Eldon something. The sewing folk of Newcastle are spoilt - two haberdashery departments in the same shopping centre - Fenwick and John Lewis. Spending time perusing haberdashery is becoming my guilty pleasure!

We spotted these vintage buses on a Newcastle street.

We had a late lunch/tea at the Kingdom World Buffet, then set off for home at 5pm. We got in just after 8pm.

Frank will have to return the hire car tomorrow (a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander) - he's going to miss it. He enjoyed being able to overtake other drivers for a change (we have a Mazda 2)!
