Big Award

I guess I will be putting a few Millie Morgan images up over the summer,Millie is building up for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Championships, which are being held on the first weekend of December. Millie is running in a 3000m inter club race here and this was an open race, men and women. Millie was running against some of the best runners in New Zealand in this race, 763 Nicki McFadzien NZ senior women Cross Country Champion and 10k road champion, 847 Rosa Flanagan NZ Representative to the World Youth Championships in Russia this year National Champion over 3000m and numerous other Titles and Millie in the Timaru top. I asked Millie how she went and she responded her run was a bit crappy, her time was about 10 mins 10 secs 1 sec slower than her personal best time at the NZ track and field champs where she won a Bronze in the 3000m in March. The way I see it that's pretty good and very pleased with the way Millie ran. The big award last night was Millie was honoured with the title of Aoraki (South Canterbury, North Otago and Mid Canterbury) Secondary Schools Cross Country Runner of the year and was a finalist in the Track and Field Athlete of the year. Avery prestigious honour for Millie a first year runner.
