My First Informal Gig

I while back I was asked if I could take pictures of our friend's eldest Daughter's Bat Mitzvah rehearsal. I agreed and today was the rehearsal. It is not permitted to use electronic devices on the Sabbath (which is when the actual ceremony is) so it's custom to take pictures of the rehersal instead.

It was a great learning experience for me. I got a wee taste of what professional event photographers go through. I had been thinking about renting the EF 70-200mm IS F2.8 lens for the day ($30). I wish I had done it. I have the non-IS F4 version, which has the same image quality, but I could've really used the IS and faster lens.
