Christchurch Public Art

Today we went on a walking tour round the city to see all the public art around Christchurch. Since the earthquake lots of different sculptures and paintings have appeared in bare spaces which brightens them up. I'm not usually that into this sort of thing but seeing all these things on sites where big buildings used to be sends out a really positive message and cheers up the very sad spaces.

This one, 'Tree Houses for Swamp Dwellers' will be a permanent sculpture in Christchurch.
