Empty

Two paper wasp underneath an agapanthus plant building their nest from dead wood and plant stalks mixed with saliva, the female has already laid one egg in one of the cells in her open comb the rest of the cells are empty waiting to be filled.
The paper wasp is sometimes called the umbrella wasp due to the style of her nest which is water proof and will have a secretion surrounding it to stop ants from devouring their brood.
There is an anchor which hold the nest or comb to the plant.
They are not aggressive unless the nest is threatened, I didn't hang around, this filled the challenge topic today "empty".....
Very humid today no cool breeze 32c with a low of 21c, the doors and windows are now open as the sun goes down...
