Baking Sunday...

This morning I was reminded that I would bake a coffee and walnut cake this weekend (after recounting my childhood with my wife, about how I use to bake coffee and walnut cakes for my mum).

My wife picked a Nigella recipe for me, which was easy and looks great in the book. I think my effort looks OK, but tastes fantastic!

My daughter and middle son were making cheese straws under my wife's guidance, using my suggested filling of pesto and cheese.

My wife had decided that she was making pretzels today after seeing the on the television programme, The Great British Bake Off.

A great home made lunch today!
